The moment
the word ‘titanic’ is mentioned, a huge luxury liner floats across one’s mind
and, probably, sinks as well. The word ‘titanic’ originally means ‘of
exceptional strength, size, or power’. Based on this meaning, the ship
‘Titanic’ set sail from Southampton ,

Although
this tragedy leaves us with lots of questions, quite a few remarkable incidents
of courage and sacrifice that emerged on board, leaves us also with a sense of
admiration and wonder. One of them is about three priests – Fathers Thomas
Byles, Juozas Montvila, and Joseph Benedikt Peruschitz. These three priests
declined the offer of getting into the life-boats and stayed on with the
people, stranded on the ship, offering them final absolution and praying with
them as the ship plunged into the icy waters of the Atlantic .
The bodies of the three priests were never recovered.
Born as the
eldest of seven children of a Congregationalist minister, Fr Thomas Byles converted
to Catholicism. Ordained a priest in 1902, he was assigned to be the parish
priest at Saint Helen’s in Ongar, Essex in 1905. The parish was poor and had few parishioners,
but Father Byles was devoted to them and served them generously until 1912 when
he left for New York

Juozas Montvila was a 27 year old priest from Lithuania United States

Joseph Benedikt Peruschitz was a 41 year old Catholic priest from Germany Saint John’s
Abbey in Collegeville , Minnesota
Father
Byles did not view his trip on the Titanic as a vacation from his priestly
duties. He spent Saturday April 13, hearing confessions, and on Sunday April
14, he said two masses for the second and third class passengers. When the
Titanic struck the iceberg, Father Byles was walking on the upper deck reading
his breviary. He immediately sprang into action. He assisted many third class
passengers up to the boat deck and onto the life boats. As the ship was sinking,
he said the rosary and heard confessions. Near the end, he gave absolution to
more than a hundred passengers trapped on the stern of the ship after all the
lifeboats had been launched.
Like Father
Byles, Fathers Montvila and Peruschitz went among the passengers, praying with
all, Catholic and non-Catholic, and granting absolution. Also like Father Byles
they were offered seats in the lifeboats and declined them, realizing that the
place for a priest was on board the Titanic with those who were about to die.
Like the good shepherd described by Jesus in today’s Gospel (John 10: 11), all

When the
Centenary of the sinking of the Titanic was commemorated in 2012, it reopened
some of the ‘wounds’ in our collective consciousness. This is the case with
many more commemorations of centenaries. Last year the Centenary of the First
World War was observed. Since that war lasted four years, (1914 to 1918), there
will be some more commemorations connected with WWI in the coming years. Last
week (April 23, 24) two centenaries were commemorated - the massacre of the
Armenian people (around 1.5 million as claimed by Armenia
Many
leaders who have been the cause of many massacres, and battles have not been
the victims… Only innocent people have died in millions. The greed for power
nurtured by individuals has been ‘dressed-up’ as ‘slogans’ and ‘political
ideals’ for which innocent civilians and soldiers are sacrificed. These leaders
have crowded the pages of past history as well as the present. These selfish
megalomaniacs have been referred to as ‘thieves and hirelings’ by Jesus in
today’s Gospel (John 10: 10, 12-13).
We tend to
get a ‘kick’ out of pointing fingers at others – especially when leaders, both
political and religious, are on the other side of our pointing finger! Every
time we do this, we are also brought to realise the hard truth that there are
other fingers pointing towards us. These fingers pointing towards us tell us
that these ‘thieves and hirelings’, did not drop down from the skies all on a
sudden. They have been part of a family, a school and a community. Hence, these
leaders have been formed by parents, elders, teachers, and friends like us. As
we look around in families and other circles of influence, we find that there are
‘true shepherds’ as well as ‘thieves and hirelings’. The more the latter, the
larger the risk for the future generations!
In this
context, we need to talk about a video that is doing the rounds in the media,
especially in social networks like facebook, twitter and YouTube. It is about a
small girl handling a real machine gun! Here is an extract from the news that
appeared on BBC a few days ago.

The girl
looks about six or seven years old. She chats away with an off-camera adult,
possibly her father, who asks her how many Islamic State fighters she has
killed. "Four hundred!" she says, speaking in a Kurdish dialect local
to Sulaymaniyah in northern Iraq
Then the
little girl leans over a machine gun bigger than she is, and using both hands,
she fires away into the distance. As the shots echo across the desert, the man

If the off
screen voice belongs to the father of the child, it is really a tragedy! Most
of the leaders we have spoken of in today’s reflections may have been fed with
the ‘poison of hatred’ in their childhood, by those very close to them –
namely, parents, teachers and friends. If only our families can become
nurseries where love and forgiveness are planted and nurtured, we can resolve
all the problems we face.
As we
celebrate the Good Shepherd Sunday, the Church invites us to celebrate the World
Day of Prayer for Vocations. Pope Francis, in his message for this 52nd
World Day, says:
To offer
one’s life in mission is possible only if we are able to leave ourselves
behind. On this 52nd World Day of Prayer for Vocations, I would like reflect on
that particular “exodus” which is the heart of vocation, or better yet, of our
response to the vocation God gives us…
At the
root of every Christian vocation we find this basic movement, which is part of
the experience of faith. Belief means transcending ourselves, leaving behind
our comfort and the inflexibility of our ego in order to centre our life in
Jesus Christ.
We are
deeply aware that the world is twisted and tortured by tornadoes of
selfishness. The best way to tackle this problem is to make our families live
this exodus – the experience of ‘going out’ and ‘leaving behind’!
Let me
close with another moving, up-lifting real-life incident that shows a priest
who, true to his vocation, acts as a true shepherd on a battlefield: A soldier
dying on a Korean battle field asked for a priest. The Medic could not find
one. A wounded man lying nearby heard the request and said, “I am a priest.”
The Medic turned to the speaker and saw his condition, which was as bad as that
of the other. “It will kill you if you move,” he warned. But the wounded
chaplain replied. “The life of a man’s soul is worth more than a few hours of
my life.” He then crawled to the dying soldier, heard his confession, gave him
absolution and the two died peacefully.

உயிர்ப்புக்காலம் 4ம் ஞாயிறு – நல்லாயன் ஞாயிறு
'டைட்டானிக்' (Titanic) என்ற சொல்லைக் கேட்டதும், பிரம்மாண்டமான கப்பல் ஒன்று நம் மனக்கடலில் மிதந்து வரும். புகழ்பெற்ற அக்கப்பல், 1912ம் ஆண்டு, ஏப்ரல் மாதம் 15ம் தேதி, அட்லான்டிக் கடல் நடுவே, பனிப்பாறையில் மோதி, கடலில் மூழ்கியது என்பதும் நம் நினைவில் பதிந்திருக்கும். "எதுவும் இந்தக் கப்பலை மூழ்கடிக்க முடியாது" என்ற ஆணவ அறிக்கையுடன் ஏப்ரல் மாதம் 10ம் தேதி புறப்பட்ட 'டைட்டானிக்', ஏப்ரல் மாதம் 15ம் தேதி இரு துண்டுகளாகப் பிளவுபட்டு, கடலில் மூழ்கியது. அக்கப்பல், மூழ்கி நூறாண்டுகளுக்கு மேல் ஆகிவிட்டன. அக்கப்பலின் வீழ்ச்சி, மனித ஆணவத்திற்கு விழுந்த மரண அடி. ஆனால், 'டைட்டானிக்' மூழ்கும் நேரத்தில் நிகழ்ந்த வீரச் செயல்கள், மனிதத் தியாகத்தை உயர்த்திப் பிடிக்கும் ஒளி விளக்குகளாக இன்றும் நம் மனங்களுக்கு நிறைவு தருகின்றன. அந்த ஒளி விளக்குகளில் ஒன்று, Thomas Byles, Benedikt Peruschitz, Juozas Montvila, என்ற மூன்று அருள் பணியாளர்களைப் பற்றியது.
'டைட்டானிக்' மூழ்கிக்கொண்டிருந்தபோது, இம்மூன்று அருள் பணியாளர்களும் உயிர்காக்கும்
படகுகளில் தப்பித்துச்செல்ல தங்களுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்ட வாய்ப்புக்களை மறுத்துவிட்டனர். மரணத்தை எதிர்கொண்டிருந்த மக்களுக்கு ஒப்புரவு அருட்சாதனம் வழங்கியபடி, அம்மக்களுடன்
இணைந்து செபித்தபடி,
அவர்களும் கடலில் மூழ்கி இறந்தனர்
என்று சொல்லப்படுகிறது.
இந்த விபத்தில் இவர்களது பெயர்கள் பெரிதாகப் பேசப்படவில்லை; இவர்களது உடல்களும் மீட்கப்படவில்லை. ஆனால், இவர்களது இறுதிநேர ஆன்மீகப் பணிகளைக் கண்ட பலரும், அவர்கள் தலைமுறையினரும்
இவர்களைப் பெருமையுடன், நன்றியுடன் இன்றும் எண்ணி வருகின்றனர்.

ஆங்கிலிக்கன் சபையில் பிறந்த Thomas Byles அவர்கள், தன் 24வது வயதில் கத்தோலிக்கத்
திருஅவையில் இணைந்து, 32வது வயதில் அருள் பணியாளராகத்
திருநிலைப்படுத்தப்பட்டார். தன்னைப்போல கத்தோலிக்கத் திருஅவையில் இணைந்த தன் தம்பியின்
திருமணத் திருப்பலியை நிகழ்த்த, 42 வயதான அருள்பணி Byles அவர்கள், நியூ யார்க் நகர் நோக்கி பயணம்
செய்தார். டைட்டானிக் கப்பல் மூழ்குவதற்கு ஒரு சில மணி நேரங்களுக்கு முன்னதாக, ஏப்ரல் 14, ஞாயிறன்று, அருள்பணி Byles அவர்களும், அருள்பணி Peruschitz அவர்களும் கப்பலில் பயணித்த கத்தோலிக்கர்களுக்கு

இம்மூன்று அருள் பணியாளர்களில் இளையவரான அருள்பணி Juozas
Montvila அவர்கள், டைட்டானிக் கப்பலில் பயணித்தபோது,
அவரது வயது 27. லித்துவேனியா நாட்டில் பிறந்த இவர், தன்
23வது வயதில் கீழைவழிபாட்டு முறை திருஅவையில் அருள் பணியாளராகத் திருநிலைப்படுத்தப்பட்டார்.
இரஷ்ய அரசின் அடக்குமுறையால் நசுக்கப்பட்டிருந்த கத்தோலிக்கர்களுக்கு, இரகசியமாக அருள்பணி
புரிந்த இவர், அமேரிக்கா சென்று, இன்னும் சற்று சுதந்திரமாக தன் அருள் பணிகளைத் தொடரும் நோக்கத்துடன்
கப்பலில் புறப்பட்டார்.
இம்மூவரின் வாழ்விலும் நல்லாயன் இயேசுவின் பண்புகள் வெளிப்பட்டதை
உணர்கிறோம். அச்சுறுத்தும் ஓநாய்கள் சூழ்ந்தாலும், தன் ஆடுகளுக்குத்
தேவையான ஆன்மீக உதவிகள் செய்த அருள்பணி Montvila அவர்கள், வேற்றுநாட்டில் சுதந்திரமாகப் பணியாற்றலாம் என்ற எண்ணத்துடன் கப்பல்
பயணம் மேற்கொண்டார்.
இளையோரை நல்வழிப்படுத்தும் நல்லெண்ணத்துடன், நாடுவிட்டு நாடு செல்ல,
கடல் பயணம் மேற்கொண்டவர், அருள்பணி Peruschitz அவர்கள்.
இங்கிலாந்தின் Essex பகுதியில், St Helen என்ற கோவிலில், 10 ஆண்டுகளாக பங்குத்தந்தையாகப்
பணியாற்றிவந்த அருள்பணி Byles அவர்கள், தன் தம்பியின் திருமணத்தை முன்னின்று
நடத்தச் சென்று கொண்டிருந்தார்.
இவ்விதம், தங்களுக்கெனத் தனிப்பட்டத் திட்டங்களுடன்
புறப்பட்ட இம்மூவரும், ஆபத்து சூழ்ந்த நேரத்தில், தங்கள் திட்டங்களைப் புறந்தள்ளிவிட்டு, இறைமக்களான ஆடுகளுக்காக தங்கள் உயிரையும் வழங்கத் துணிந்தனர்.
இம்மூவரையும் புனிதர்களாக உயர்த்தும் முயற்சிகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டுள்ளன
என்றாலும், இம்மூவரும் மக்கள் மனங்களில் புனிதமான
ஓரிடம் பெற்றுள்ளனர் என்பதில் எள்ளளவும் ஐயமில்லை. அருள்பணி Byles அவர்கள், பங்குத் தந்தையாகப் பணிபுரிந்து

இவர் நினைவாக வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள ஒரு வண்ணக்கண்ணாடி சன்னலில் (stained-glass

ஒவ்வொரு முறையும் நூற்றாண்டு நினைவுகள் கொண்டாடப்படும்போது, வரலாற்றுக் காயங்கள் மீண்டும் திறக்கப்படுகின்றன என்பதை மறுப்பதற்கில்லை.
2012ம் ஆண்டு 'டைட்டானிக்' கப்பல் மூழ்கியதன் நூற்றாண்டு நினைவைக் கடைபிடித்தபோது, ஒரு சில மனிதரின் ஆணவம், 1500க்கும் மேற்பட்ட உயிர்களைப் பலிவாங்கியது
என்ற எண்ணம், நம்மை மீண்டும் காயப்படுத்தியது. 2014ம் ஆண்டு, முதல் உலகப்போர் துவங்கியதன் நூற்றாண்டு நினைவு கடைபிடிக்கப்பட்டது.
நான்கு ஆண்டுகள் நடைபெற்ற இந்த உலகப் போரின் இரத்தம் நிறைந்த வரலாற்றின் நூற்றாண்டு
நினைவுகள், 2018ம் ஆண்டு முடிய அவ்வப்போது கடைபிடிக்கப்படும்.
இவ்வாண்டு, ஏப்ரல் 23, 24 தேதிகளில் ஆர்மேனியாவின் தலைநகர், Yerevanல் ஆட்டமோன் (Ottomon) அரசால் கொல்லப்பட்ட 15 இலட்சம்
ஆர்மேனியர்களைப் புனிதர்களாக அறிவித்து, அவர்கள் நினைவு சிறப்பிக்கப்பட்டது.
முதல் உலகப்போரில் அதிக அளவு உயிர்களைப் பறித்த மோதல், துருக்கி நாட்டின் Gallipoli வளைகுடாவில் நடைபெற்றது என்று சொல்லப்படுகிறது. 1,31,000 வீரர்கள் கொல்லப்பட்ட அந்நிகழ்வின்
நூற்றாண்டு நினைவு, ஏப்ரல் 24, இவ்வெள்ளியன்று கடைபிடிக்கப்பட்டது.
இந்த நினைவுகள் கடைபிடிக்கப்பட்டபோது, பல அரசியல் விவாதங்களும்,
வரலாற்றுக் காயங்களும்
மீண்டும் திறக்கப்பட்டன. இலட்சக்கணக்கில் நிகழ்ந்த இந்த உயிர்ப்பலிகள், வரலாற்றுப் புள்ளிவிவரங்களாக, அரசியல்
வாக்குவாதங்களுக்கு துணைபோகும் குறிப்புக்களாக மட்டுமே இன்று நம்மிடையே பயன்படுகின்றன.
இந்த உயிர்ப்பலிகளுக்குக் காரணமாக இருந்த தலைவர்கள் யாரும் இந்த மனித வேட்டையில் உயிரிழந்ததாக
வரலாறு சொல்லவில்லை.
தன்னலம்,
பேராசை, பழிவாங்கும் வெறி ஆகியத் தனிமனிதத் தீமைகளுக்குக்
‘கொள்கை’ என்ற சாயம் பூசி, அக்கொள்கைகளுக்காக, மக்களைப் பலி கொடுக்கும் தலைவர்கள்,
மனித வரலாற்றின் பக்கங்களை அன்றும், இன்றும் நிரப்பி வருகின்றனர்.
இத்தகையத் தலைவர்களை, 'கூலிக்கு மேய்ப்பவர்' என்று இன்றைய நற்செய்தியில் இயேசு குறிப்பிடுகிறார். "நல்ல
ஆயர், ஆடுகளுக்காக தம் உயிரைக் கொடுப்பார்...
கூலிக்கு மேய்ப்பவர், ஆடுகளை விட்டுவிட்டு ஓடிப்போவார்" (யோவான் 10: 11-12) என்று இயேசு கூறியதையும் தாண்டி, நம்மைச்
சிந்திக்கத் தூண்டுகிறது இன்றைய நிலை. ஆடுகளுக்காக உயிரைக் கொடுப்பவர் நல்ல ஆயர் என்று
இயேசு கூறியதற்கு நேர் எதிர் துருவமாக, ஆடுகளின் உயிர்களை எடுக்கும் போலி
ஆயர்கள் பெருகியுள்ளது இன்று நாம் சந்திக்கும் ஆபத்து.
சுட்டுவிரல் கொண்டு மற்றவரைச் சுட்டிப் பேசும்போது எழும்
வழக்கமான நெருடல் இப்போதும் நமக்குள் எழுகிறது. பதவி வெறி பிடித்த அரசுத் தலைவர்களையும், குறிப்பாக, இன்றைய நாட்களில், மத வெறி பிடித்த
மதத் தலைவர்களையும், போலி மேய்ப்பர்கள் என்று சுட்டிக்காட்டிவிட்டு நாம் தப்பித்துக்கொள்ள முடியாது. இந்தப் போலி
ஆயர்கள் அனைவரும் வானத்திலிருந்து குதிக்கவில்லை;
மாறாக, ஏதோ ஒரு குடும்பத்தில் பிறந்து, பள்ளியில் பயின்று, ஒரு சமுதாயத்தால் வளர்க்கப்பட்டவர்கள் என்ற உண்மை, கூரிய
விரல்களாக நம்மைக் குத்திக்காட்டுகின்றது.
நம்மைக் குத்தும் விரல்களை ஓர் ஆன்ம ஆய்வாக மேற்கொண்டால், நம் குடும்பங்கள், பள்ளிகள், சமுதாயம் என்ற அனைத்து நிலைகளிலும், 'நல்ல ஆயர்களும்', 'கூலிக்கு மேய்ப்பவர்களும்' வழிகாட்டிகளாக இருப்பதை நாம் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளத்தான் வேண்டும். 'கூலிக்கு மேய்ப்பவர்களின்'
கூட்டம் அதிகமானால், அடுத்தத் தலைமுறை எவ்விதம் வழிகாட்டப்படும் என்பதை எண்ணிப் பார்க்கவே
மனம் அஞ்சுகிறது.

Use PKM – YouTube) போன்ற சமுதாய வலைத்தளங்கள் வழியே பகிரப்பட்டு
வரும் ஒரு வீடியோச் செய்தி, அதிர்ச்சியில் என்னை உறையவைத்தது. ஈராக் நாட்டின் குர்திஷ்
(Kurdish) இனத்தைச் சேர்ந்த 6 அல்லது 7 வயதே நிறைந்த
ஒரு சிறுமி, ஏதோ ஒரு பாலை நிலத்தில் எதையோ பார்த்து
துப்பாக்கியால் சுட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்கிறாள். அவள் பயன்படுத்துவது விளையாட்டுத் துப்பாக்கி
அல்ல, தொடர்ச்சியாக பல குண்டுகளைச் சுடும் உண்மையான
'மஷின் துப்பாக்கி'
அது. இந்த வீடியோவைப்
படமாக்கியவர், அச்சிறுமியின் தந்தை என்பது ஊடகங்களின்
கணிப்பு. வீடியோ காமிராவை இயக்கிக் கொண்டிருந்த அவர், சிறுமியிடம், "நீ இன்று எத்தனை ISIS தீவிரவாதிகளைக் கொன்றாய்?"
என்று கேட்க, அச்சிறுமி காமிரா பக்கம் திரும்பி, தன் பிஞ்சு விரல்களை நீட்டி, கள்ளம்
கபடமற்ற ஒரு புன்னகையுடன், "400 பேர்" என்று கூறுகிறாள்.
தொடர்ந்து அச்சிறுமியிடம், "கொல், அவர்களைக் கொல்" என்று அக்குரல் கூற, சிறுமியும்
தொடர்ந்து சுடுகிறாள்.
மனதை அதிரவைக்கும் இந்த வீடியோ, இன்றைய உலகின் வன்முறைகளுக்கு ஏதோ ஒருவகையில் பதில் தருகிறது. பிஞ்சு
மனங்களில் வெறுப்பு என்ற நஞ்சைக் கலந்து ஊட்டுவது குழந்தைகளுக்கு மிக நெருங்கியவர்களான
பெற்றோரும், உற்றாரும் என்ற உண்மை, நம் அனைவரையும் குற்ற உணர்வோடு
தலைகுனியச் செய்கிறது. நல்லாயன் ஞாயிறைக் கொண்டாடும் இன்று, நாம் ஒவ்வொருவரும் நாம் வாழும் சூழல்களில் மற்றவர்களை நல்வழியில்
நடத்தும் வழிகாட்டிகளாக, நல்ல ஆயர்களாக வாழ்கிறோமா என்ற
ஆன்மத் தேடலை மேற்கொள்வோம்.
நல்லாயன்
ஞாயிறன்று, இறையழைத்தலுக்காக செபிக்கும் உலக நாளையும்
திருஅவை அறிவித்துள்ளது. ஏப்ரல் 26ம் தேதி நாம் கொண்டாடும் இந்த 52வது உலக நாளுக்கென
திருத்தந்தை பிரான்சிஸ் அவர்கள் வெளியிட்டுள்ள ஒரு செய்தியில், "நம் சுயநலத்திலிருந்து வெளியேறிச் செல்வதே, நம் அனைவருக்கும் தரப்பட்டுள்ள முக்கியமான மறைபோதகப் பணி" என்று கூறியுள்ளார். சுயநலம்
என்ற சுழல்காற்றில் சிக்கி இவ்வுலகம் சின்னாபின்னமாகி வருவதை நாம் அறிவோம். சுயநலம்
அற்ற தலைவர்கள் நம் குடும்பங்களில் உருவாகின்றனர் என்பதை உறுதிசெய்தால், இவ்வுலகின் அனைத்துப் பிரச்சனைகளுக்கும் தீர்வு கிடைக்கும் என்பதும்
உறுதி.
நல்லாயன், இறையழைத்தல் என்ற இரு எண்ணங்களையும் இணைக்கும் ஓர் உண்மைச் சம்பவம்
இது. கொரியாவில் நடந்துவந்த போரின் உச்சக்கட்டம். போரில் காயப்பட்டு, உயிருக்குப் போராடிவந்த ஒரு வீரர், இறப்பதற்கு முன், ஓர் அருள்பணியாளரைச்
சந்திக்க வேண்டுமென்ற தன் ஆவலை வெளியிட்டார். அவருக்கு மருத்துவ உதவிகள் செய்தவர் திகைத்தார்.
இந்தப் போர்க்களத்தில் அருள்பணியாளருக்கு எங்கே போவது? என்று அவர் தடுமாறிக் கொண்டிருந்தபோது, அந்த வீரருக்கு அருகில் மரணத்துடன் போராடிக் கொண்டிருந்த மற்றொரு
வீரர், "நான் ஓர் அருள்பணியாளரை்" என்று தன்னையே
அறிமுகப்படுத்தினார். அவரது நிலையைக் கண்ட மருத்துவர், "நீங்கள் அசையாதீர்கள். அசைந்தால், உங்கள் உயிருக்குப் பெரும் ஆபத்து." என்று அந்த அருள்பணியாளரிடம்
எச்சரித்தார். அதற்கு அந்த அருள்பணியாளர்,
"நான் வாழப்போகும்
இந்த ஒரு சில மணித்துளிகளை விட, என் நண்பரின் ஆன்மா மிகவும் முக்கியம்" என்று
சொன்னபடி, தன்னிடம் எஞ்சியிருந்த சக்தியை எல்லாம்
திரட்டி, தரையோடு தரையாக ஊர்ந்து வந்தார். சாகும்
நிலையில் இருந்த அந்த வீரரின் இறுதி நேரத்தில் அவருக்கு ஒப்புரவு அருட்சாதனத்தை வழங்கினார்.
அந்த வீரரும், அருள்பணியாளரும் அமைதியாக இறந்தனர்.

மே மாதங்கள்... முக்கியமான முடிவுகள் எடுக்கும் நேரம். பள்ளிப்படிப்பு, கல்லூரி படிப்பு ஆகியவற்றை முடித்துவிட்டு, வாழ்வில் சில முக்கிய
முடிவுகளை எடுக்கக் காத்திருக்கும் இளையோரை இன்று சிறப்பாக இறைவனின் திருப்பாதம் கொணர்வோம்.
நல்லாயனாம் இயேசுவின் அழைத்தலை ஏற்று, மக்கள் பணிக்குத் தங்களையே அளிக்க
முன்வரும் இளையோரை, இறைவன் வழிநடத்த வேண்டுமென்று, நல்லாயன் ஞாயிறன்று,
இறையழைத்தல் ஞாயிறன்று மன்றாடுவோம்.
