Many of us are familiar with one of the stars of ‘Star Wars’ series - Sir Alec Guinness. Here is an interesting anecdote of how he and his family became Catholics. The following are some extracts taken from an article published in the web journal – Catholic Culture: Alec Guinness was born in London in 1914 to Agnes Cuffe, an unmarried woman who cared for him in a haphazard manner. At the age of sixteen, Guinness was confirmed in the Anglican faith, but he secretly declared himself an atheist.

Guinness left school at eighteen and went to work as a copywriter for an advertising agency. His career as a copywriter was a failure, so he turned to the stage, realizing an attraction he had since childhood…

Father Brown is the drab and delightful Catholic priest invented by G. K. Chesterton. One of Guinness's most memorable characterizations was of this humble, crime-solving cleric. The film was being shot in a remote French village. One evening Guinness, still in costume, was on his way back to his lodgings. A little boy, mistaking him for the real thing, grabbed his hand and trustingly accompanied the "priest."

That incident affected Guinness. "Continuing my walk," he said, "I reflected that a Church that could inspire such confidence in a child, making priests, even when unknown, so easily approachable, could not be as scheming or as creepy as so often made out. I began to shake off my long-taught, long-absorbed prejudices."

The article then goes on to describe how Matthew, the son of Guinness, was cured of his polio, due to prayers made by Guinness. Finally, Alec Guinness, his wife Merula and son Matthew became Catholics.

The innocent little boy and the grown up Alec Guinness help us reflect on the liturgical readings for this Sunday. This Sunday’s Liturgy talks about how God gets introduced in one’s childhood and in one’s adult life. Samuel ‘meets’ God when he is a child (I Samuel 3:3-10, 19). Andrew and Simon Peter meet Jesus as adults (John 1: 35-42). There are a few lessons – old and new – that we can learn from these two events.

God meets Samuel in the temple. Samuel has been serving in the temple for quite some time. The opening line of this passage says that Samuel was lying down within the temple of the LORD. (I Sam. 3:3) This indicates that the temple had become the living space for Samuel. Still, he had not recognized God’s call. We can easily excuse Samuel for not recognizing the voice of God, since he was only a child. But we see that even Eli, the priest, failed to recognize God calling Samuel.

One can miss meeting God even in the temple or in the church, when one’s mind is filled with worldly concerns. Eli, failed to recognize God, not only because his ‘eyesight had begun to grow dim’ (I Sam. 3:2), but his heart was filled with sorrow over the atrocious behaviour of his children. By the time Samuel came to him the third time, Eli woke up from his ‘blindness’ and instructed Samuel how to respond to God. He realised that it was his job to help the youngster to recognise God’s voice: he had no doubt taught Samuel much; he would have regarded him as his protégé, but he had the wisdom and the humility to see that all his teaching must lead Samuel to meet the living God, not just to be a clone of Eli. Sometimes if others are to learn of God from us we have to stand aside and let them move beyond our wisdom and discover the source of all wisdom. (Fr. Colin Carr O.P.)

Something similar happens in the episode we hear in today’s Gospel (John 1:35-42). We see John the Baptist introducing Jesus to his disciples, helping them to follow Him. In the case of Samuel, God gets introduced in the temple whereas in the Gospel, Jesus gets introduced on the roadside. Both in the Bible, as well as in human history, God gets introduced, more often, in very ordinary circumstances and places than in the holy of holies. Since it is so ordinary, many of us tend to miss the importance of it. Even in the case of the two disciples of John, they could have missed Jesus. But they took extra efforts. They followed Him.

The two disciples… followed Jesus. Jesus turned, and saw them following, and said to them, "What do you seek?" And they said to him, "Rabbi" (which means Teacher), "where are you staying?" He said to them, "Come and see." They came and saw where he was staying; and they stayed with him that day, for it was about the tenth hour. (John 1: 37-39)

‘What do you seek?’ – these are the very first words spoken by Jesus in the Gospel of John. This is a profound question that confronts us over and over again. We know that all of us are seeking very many things in our lives… Sometimes our seeking leads us nowhere and some other times to wrong places and to wrong ends. Here is a mini-parable on ‘seeking’:

A small fish was swimming in the ocean. It was swimming frantically back and forth, as if searching for something. A big fish asked the small fish: “What are you searching for?” The small fish answered: “The ocean”. It is possible to be immersed in the ocean and still not be aware of it. Though we are surrounded by God’s presence, we keep searching for God, especially, when things become tough for us.

‘What do you seek?’ This is as probing a question today as it was then! Jesus knew that people came to Him for a multitude of reasons. So, Jesus wanted these disciples to evaluate what exactly it was that they were seeking from Him.

The response of the disciples came in the form of another question: 'Rabbi, where are you staying?' They wanted to make it clear to Jesus that they were not seeking for some favour from Jesus, but were seeking Jesus Himself. In other words, they wanted to be with Him! They weren't satisfied with just meeting Him. They desired to be close to Him and spend time with Him. Knowing their sincere and deep desire, Jesus extended the lovely invitation - ‘Come and see’.

Jesus invited Andrew to ‘come and see’ and Andrew, in his turn, invited his brother Simon Peter to ‘come and see’. The idea of Andrew taking efforts to introduce the Lord to his brother Simon, invites us to reflect on how we introduce God in our family circles. As siblings, we tend to introduce our brothers and sisters to many things and persons in life. But how many of us introduce God to our own family members? In how many families God becomes a topic of our conversations? Why do we shy away from such ‘godly’ or ‘spiritual’ topics? May be, that God is not that important to us. If God were really important to us, we would introduce God to all our family members and friends whenever we get a chance. Sadly, God, or religion becomes a ‘non-essential’ item in our life. This attitude is well expressed in a short story:

Two men, who had been business partners for over twenty years, met one Sunday morning as they were leaving a restaurant. One of them asked, “Where are you going this morning?” “I’m going to play golf. What about you?” The first man responded rather apologetically, “I’m going to Church.” The other man said, “Why don’t you give up that Church stuff?” The first man asked, “What do you mean?” His partner said: “Well, we have been partners for twenty years. We have worked together, attended board meetings together, and had lunch together, and all of these twenty years you have never asked me about going to Church. You have never invited me to go with you. Obviously, it doesn’t mean that much to you.” (John A. Stroman, God’s Downward Mobility, CSS Publishing Company)

Another striking feature of today’s Gospel passage is the humility of Andrew. He brings Peter to Jesus and Jesus seems to pay more attention to Peter, calling him ‘the rock’ etc. The meeting between Jesus and Peter began a historical relationship that has survived 20 centuries. This does not seem to have disturbed Andrew one bit. He came from the school of John the Baptist who often spoke of how ‘Jesus must increase and he must decrease’. In reality, John did just that. After introducing Jesus to his disciples, he disappeared from the scene. Andrew too, after introducing Jesus to Peter, disappeared from the scene.

We can surely pray for this wonderful grace of getting our own near and dear ones introduced to God and of disappearing from the scene, once God takes over.

ஆங்கிலத் திரைப்பட நடிகர்களில் ஒருவரான, அலெக் கின்னஸ் (Alec Guinness) அவர்கள், பிறந்ததுமுதல், தந்தை யாரென்று அறியாமல் வளர்ந்தவர். அவர், ஆங்கிலிக்கன் சபையைச் சேர்ந்தவர் என்றாலும், இளமைப்பருவத்தில், மதம் சார்ந்த விடயங்களில் அக்கறை ஏதுமின்றி வாழ்ந்தார். தன் 19வது வயதில், மேடை நாடகங்களில் பங்கேற்று, பின்னர், திரைப்படங்களில் நடிக்கும் வாய்ப்பும் பெற்றார்.

புகழ்பெற்ற எழுத்தாளர் G.K.Chesterton அவர்கள், கத்தோலிக்க குரு ஒருவரை மையப்படுத்தி உருவாக்கிய Father Brown என்ற சிறுகதைகளின் தொகுப்பு, திரைப்படமாக உருவானபோது, அதில், அலெக் கின்னஸ் அவர்கள், Father Brown பாத்திரத்தில் நடித்தார். இத்திரைப்படத்தின் படப்பிடிப்பு, பிரான்ஸ் நாட்டின் ஒரு கிராமத்தில் நடைபெற்றது.

தன் மனதில் ஆழமாகப்பதிந்த அந்நிகழ்வு, கத்தோலிக்க மதத்தைப்பற்றி தான் கொண்டிருந்த தவறான எண்ணங்களை மாற்றியது என்று, அலெக் அவர்கள், தன் சுய வரலாற்றில் குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார்: "முன்பின் எவ்வித அறிமுகமும் இல்லாதபோதும், ஒரு சிறு குழந்தையின் மனதில், ஓர் அருள்பணியாளரின் உருவம், இவ்வளவு நம்பிக்கையை உருவாக்கமுடியும் என்றால், அந்த கத்தோலிக்க மறையில், நிச்சயம் நல்லவை பல இருக்கவேண்டும்" என்று அவர் எழுதியுள்ளார். அடுத்துவந்த ஆண்டுகளில், ஒருவர்பின் ஒருவராக, அலெக் கின்னஸ், அவரது மனைவி, மெருலா (Merula), மகன் மேத்யூ மூவரும் கத்தோலிக்கத் திருமறையைத் தழுவினர்.

கடவுள், ஒருவருடைய வாழ்வில், பல வியப்பான வழிகளில் அறிமுகமாகின்றார். வயதில் வளர்ந்த அலெக் அவர்களும், அவரை, இறைவனிடம் மீண்டும் அழைத்துச்சென்ற அச்சிறுவனும், இன்றைய ஞாயிறு வாசகங்களில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ள இரு வேறு நிகழ்வுகளை சிந்திக்க உதவியாக உள்ளனர்.

சாமுவேல் முதல் நூலிலிருந்து வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ள முதல் வாசகத்தில், உறங்கிக்கொண்டிருந்த சிறுவன் சாமுவேலுக்கு கடவுள் அறிமுகமாகும் நிகழ்வு பதிவாகியுள்ளது. வயதில் வளர்ந்துவிட்ட அந்திரேயாவும், சீமோன் பேதுருவும் இயேசுவுக்கு அறிமுகமாகும் நிகழ்வு, இன்றைய நற்செய்தியில் இடம் பெற்றுள்ளது. இவ்விரு நிகழ்வுகளும், நம் வாழ்வுக்குத் தேவையான சில பாடங்களைக் கற்றுக்கொள்ள நம்மை அழைக்கின்றன.

சிறுவன் சாமுவேலுக்கு, ‘ஆண்டவர் இல்லத்தில்’ அறிமுகமாகிறார் இறைவன். சாமுவேலைப் பொருத்தவரை, ஆண்டவரின் இல்லம், அவன் வாழ்வாக மாறியிருந்தது. இருந்தாலும், அந்தப் புனிதமான இடத்திலும், அச்சிறுவனால், இறைவனை அடையாளம் கண்டுகொள்ள முடியவில்லை.

கடவுளைக் காண்பதற்குத் தேவையான உண்மையான, உள்ளார்ந்த கண்ணோட்டம் இல்லையெனில், அவர் குடியிருக்கும் இல்லத்திலும் அவரைக் காணஇயலாமல் போகலாம். ஒரு சில நேரங்களில், ஆலயங்களில், வழிபாட்டு நேரங்களில், கடவுளை மறைக்கும் அளவிற்கு, அல்லது, மறந்துபோகச் செய்யும் அளவிற்கு, வேற்று எண்ணங்கள் மனதை ஆக்ரமித்தால், அவரைக் காணமுடியாமல் தடுமாறவேண்டியிருக்கும். இன்றைய முதல் வாசகத்தில் நாம் சந்திக்கும் குரு ஏலிக்கு இந்த நிலை உருவானது.

சாமுவேலுக்கு இறைவனைப்பற்றி பல உண்மைகளைக் கற்றுத்தந்தவர் ஏலி. ஆனாலும், சாமுவேலை ஆண்டவர் அழைக்கிறார் என்பதை, அவரும், உடனே உணர்ந்துகொள்ளவில்லை. இதற்கு, அவரது கண்பார்வை மங்கிவந்தது (1 சாமு. 3:2) மட்டும் காரணமல்ல, அவரது புதல்வர்களின் தாறுமாறான வாழ்வு, அவரது உள்ளத்தை கவலையால் நிறைத்திருந்ததும் காரணம்.

மூன்றாம் முறையாக, சிறுவன் சாமுவேல், தன்னை அணுகி வந்தபோதுதான், அவர், இறைவன் சாமுவேலை அழைக்கிறார் என்ற உண்மையைப் புரிந்துகொள்கிறார். தான் சொல்லித்தந்தவை அனைத்தையும்விட, தன் சீடன் சாமுவேல், ஆண்டவருக்கு நேரடியாக அறிமுகமாகும் அனுபவம், எவ்வளவோ உயர்ந்தது என்பதை உணர்ந்த குரு ஏலி, தனது உதவி இன்றி, சாமுவேல், இறைவனை, எவ்வாறு நேரில் சந்திக்கமுடியும் என்பதை உணர்த்துகிறார்.

இன்றைய நற்செய்தியில், திருமுழுக்கு யோவான், இயேசுவைத் தன் சீடர்களுக்கு அறிமுகம் செய்துவைக்கும் நிகழ்வு சொல்லப்பட்டுள்ளது. குரு ஏலியைப்போல, திருமுழுக்கு யோவானும், தன் சீடர்களுக்கு, இயேசுவைச் சுட்டிக்காட்டி, அவர்கள், அவருக்கு அறிமுகமாவதற்கும், அவரைப் பின்செல்வதற்கும் வழிவகுக்கிறார்.

சாமுவேலுக்கு, இறைவன், கோவிலில் அறிமுகமாகிறார். நற்செய்தியிலோ, இயேசுவின் அறிமுகம், வழியோரம் நடைபெறுகிறது. கோவில்களிலும், புனிதத்தலங்களிலும் இறைவன் அறிமுகமாவதைவிட, சாதாரண, வாழ்வுச் சூழல்களில் அவர் அறிமுகம் ஆன நிகழ்வுகளே, மனித வரலாற்றிலும், விவிலியத்திலும் அதிகம் உள்ளன. இதை உணர்வது, நம்மை இன்னும் கூடுதலான விழிப்புணர்வுடன் வாழ உதவும்.

வழியோரம் அறிமுகமான இயேசுவை வழியோரமாகவே விட்டுவிட்டு அந்தச் சீடர்கள் தங்கள் வழியில் செல்லவில்லை. அவர்கள் இயேசுவைப் பின்தொடர்ந்தனர். இந்நிகழ்வைக் கூறும் யோவான் நற்செய்தியின் ஒருசில வரிகளைக் கேட்போம்:

யோவான் நற்செய்தி 1: 38-39

இயேசு திரும்பிப் பார்த்து, அவர்கள் தம்மைப் பின்தொடர்வதைக் கண்டு, “என்ன தேடுகிறீர்கள்?” என்று அவர்களிடம் கேட்டார். அவர்கள், “ரபி, நீர் எங்கே தங்கியிருக்கிறீர்?” என்று கேட்டார்கள். அவர் அவர்களிடம், “வந்து பாருங்கள்” என்றார். அவர்களும் சென்று அவர் தங்கியிருந்த இடத்தைப் பார்த்தார்கள்... அன்று அவர்கள் அவரோடு தங்கினார்கள்.  

"என்ன தேடுகிறீர்கள்?" "நீர் எங்கே தங்கியிருக்கிறீர்?" என்ற இரு கேள்விகளையும், "வந்து பாருங்கள்" என்ற அழைப்பையும் மையப்படுத்தி, இன்றைய நற்செய்தி பின்னப்பட்டுள்ளது. “என்ன தேடுகிறீர்கள்?” என்ற சொற்கள், இயேசு கூறும் முதல் சொற்களாக, யோவான் நற்செய்தியில் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளன.

மிக ஆழமான, பொருள்நிறைந்த ஒரு கேள்வி இது. வாழ்வு முழுவதும் நம்மை அடிக்கடி சுற்றிவரும் கேள்வி இது. மனிதவாழ்வில், தேடுதல் ஒரு முக்கிய அம்சம். நம்மில் பலர், என்ன தேடுகிறோம் என்பது புரியாமலேயே, வாழ்வின் பெரும்பகுதியை கழித்துவருகிறோம். அல்லது, தவறானவற்றைத் தேடி களைத்துப்போகிறோம்.

சின்ன மீன் ஒன்று கடலில் நீந்திக்கொண்டிருந்தது. அது, அங்குமிங்கும் நீந்தி, எதையோ தேடுவதைப்போல் காணப்பட்டது. இதைப் பார்த்த ஒரு பெரிய மீன், அதனிடம், "என்ன தேடுகிறாய்?" என்று கேட்க, சின்ன மீன், "கடல், கடல் என்று நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் பேசிக்கொள்கிறீர்களே, அது எங்கே என்று தேடிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்" என்று சொன்னதாம். கடலுக்குள் இருந்துகொண்டே, கடலைத் தேடிய சின்ன மீனைப் போல, நாமும், இறைவன், ‘அங்கிங்கெனாதபடி எங்கும்’ நிறைந்து, நம்மைச் சூழ்ந்திருந்தாலும், அவரைப் புரிந்துகொள்ளாமல் தேடிக்கொண்டிருந்ததை இப்போது எண்ணிப் பார்க்கலாம். முக்கியமாக, நம் துன்ப நேரங்களில், இறைவன் காணாமற் போய்விட்டதாக எண்ணி, நாம் காணாமல் போயிருக்கிறோம் என்பதை சிந்தித்துப் பார்க்கலாம்.

"என்ன தேடுகிறீர்கள்?" என்று இயேசு கேட்டது, நம்மைச் சிந்திக்கத் தூண்டுகிறது. ஏதோ ஒரு தேவையை நிறைவேற்றுவதற்காக தன்னைச் தேடிவருபவர்களே அதிகம் என்பதை சொல்லாமல் சொல்லும்வண்ணம், இயேசு இந்தக் கேள்வியைக் கேட்பதுபோல் தெரிகிறது.

தாங்கள் எந்த ஒரு தேவைக்காகவும் இயேசுவைத் தேடிவரவில்லை, மாறாக, தாங்கள் அவரையே தேடிவந்திருக்கிறோம் என்பதை உணர்த்த, அச்சீடர்கள், "நீர் எங்கே தங்கியிருக்கிறீர்?" என்ற கேள்வியை கேட்கின்றனர். அவர்களது தேடல் உண்மையானது, ஆழமானது என்பதை உணர்ந்த இயேசு, அவர்களிடம், "வந்து பாருங்கள்" என்ற அழைப்பை விடுக்கிறார். அந்த அழைப்பை சீடர்கள் மகிழ்வுடன் ஏற்றுக் கொள்கின்றனர். உண்மையான உறவுகளில், நாம் 'எதை' தேடுகிறோம் என்பதைவிட, 'யாரை' தேடுகிறோம் என்பது முக்கியம்.

இறைவனை, இயேசுவை உலகிற்கு அறிமுகம் செய்துவைக்க விரும்பும் சீடர்களுக்குத் தேவையான இரு அம்சங்கள், இன்றைய நற்செய்தியில் சுட்டிக்காட்டப்பட்டுள்ளன. இறைவனைத் தேடுவதும், இறைவனுடன் தங்குவதும் சீடர்களுக்கு மிகவும் தேவையான அம்சங்கள். இயேசுவைத் தேடி, அவருடன் தங்கியதால், ‘மெசியாவைக் கண்டுகொண்ட’ (யோவான் 1:41) அந்திரேயா, தான் பெற்ற இன்பத்தை, தன் சகோதரரும் பெறவேண்டும் என்று, சீமோன் பேதுருவை இயேசுவிடம் அழைத்துவருகிறார்.

நம் குடும்பங்களில் உடன்பிறந்தோரும், உறவுகளும், வாழ்வில் முன்னேறுவதற்கு உதவியாக, பலரை நாம் அவர்களுக்கு அறிமுகம் செய்துவைக்கிறோம். இந்த அறிமுகங்கள் அனைத்தையும்விட, மிக முக்கியமான அறிமுகம், உடன்பிறந்தோரையும், உறவுகளையும், இறைவனுக்கு அறிமுகம் செய்துவைப்பது. ஆனால், இந்த அறிமுகம், நம் குடும்பங்களில் நடைபெறுகிறதா? நாம் வாழும் இன்றைய உலகில், குடும்பங்களில், இறைவனை அறிமுகம் செய்துவைக்கும் வாய்ப்புக்கள் உள்ளனவா? அல்லது, இறைவனை, நாம், கோவில்களில் பூட்டிவைத்துவிட்டு, வாழ்வின் ஒருசில தருணங்களில் மட்டும் அவரை, நம் உறவுகளுக்கு, அறிமுகப்படுத்துகிறோமா? என்ற கேள்விகளை நாம் ஆழமாக ஆராய வேண்டும்.

கடவுள், நம் வாழ்வில் முக்கிய இடம்பெறவில்லை என்பதால், அவரை, நமது குடும்பங்களிலோ அல்லது, நட்பு வளையங்களிலோ அறிமுகப்படுத்த நமக்குள் தயக்கம் எழுகிறது.

இருபது ஆண்டுகளுக்கு மேலாக, வர்த்தகத்தில் பங்குதாரர்களாக இருந்துவரும் இரு நண்பர்கள், ஒரு ஞாயிறன்று காலையில், ஒருவரையொருவர் சந்தித்தனர். ஒரு நண்பர் மற்றொருவரிடம், "இன்று காலை என்ன செய்யப்போகிறாய்?" என்று கேட்கிறார். அதற்கு மற்றொரு நண்பர், "நான் ‘கால்ப்’ (Golf) விளையாடப் போகிறேன். நீயும் வா" என்றழைக்க, முதல் நண்பர் மறுத்துவிட்டு, "இல்லை, நான் கோவிலுக்குப் போகவேண்டும்" என்று சொல்கிறார். இதைக் கேட்டதும், இரண்டாவது நண்பர், "நீ இந்த கோவில் தொடர்பான விடயங்களை விட்டுவிடலாமே" என்று ஆலோசனை சொல்ல, முதல் நண்பர் சிறிது அதிர்ச்சியடைகிறார். இருந்தாலும், தன் நண்பர் ஏதோ விளையாட்டுக்காக சொல்கிறார் என்று எண்ணி, "ஏன் அப்படி சொல்கிறாய்?" என்று கேட்கிறார். இரண்டாவது நண்பர் அவரிடம், "நண்பா, இதை நான் விளையாட்டாகச் சொல்லவில்லை. சிறிது யோசித்துப்பார். நாம் இருவரும் இருபது ஆண்டுகளாக நண்பர்களாக இருக்கிறோம். வாரம் முழுவதும் ஒன்றாக வேலை செய்கிறோம், பலமுறை சந்திக்கிறோம், ஒன்றாக உணவருந்துகிறோம். இத்தனை ஆண்டுகளாக நீ என்னை ஒருமுறை கூட உங்கள் கோவிலுக்கு அழைத்ததில்லையே. இதிலிருந்து, கோவில் விடயங்கள் உனக்கு அவ்வளவு முக்கியமில்லை என்று தெரிகிறது. பின் ஏன் அதை நீ விட்டுவிடக் கூடாது?" என்று கேட்டார்.

தான் இயேசுவைச் சந்தித்தது, எவ்வளவு முக்கியம் என்பதை உணர்ந்த அந்திரேயா, தன் சகோதரர் பேதுருவும் அந்த முக்கியத்துவத்தை உணர்வதற்கு வழிவகுத்தார். பேதுருவும் இயேசுவும் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் அறிமுகம் ஆனதால், காலத்தால் அழியாத ஒரு வரலாறு உருவானது. பேதுருவைக் கண்டதும், இயேசுவின் முழு கவனமும் அவர்மீது திரும்பியது. அவரை 'கேபா', 'பாறை', உறுதியானவர், என்றெல்லாம் புகழ்கிறார் இயேசு. தான் அழைத்துவந்த சகோதரர் மீது இயேசு தனி கவனம் காட்டியது, அந்திரேயாவுக்கு வருத்தத்தையோ, பொறாமையையோ உருவாக்கவில்லை. காரணம், அவர் திருமுழுக்கு யோவானின் சீடர். ‘அவர் வளரவேண்டும், தான் மறைய வேண்டும்’ என்று அடிக்கடி சொல்லி வந்த யோவான், இயேசுவை அறிமுகம் செய்தார், மறைந்துபோனார். திருமுழுக்கு யோவானிடம் சீடராக இருந்த அந்திரேயாவும் அதே மனநிலையில் இருந்தார். தான் மறைந்தாலும் சரி, தன் சகோதரன் பேதுரு வரலாறு படைக்கவேண்டும் என்று எண்ணினார்.

இயேசுவும், பேதுருவும் இணைந்து படைத்த அந்த வரலாறு, 20 நூற்றாண்டுகளாக வாழ்ந்துவருகிறது. அந்த வரலாறு உருவாக காரணமாக இருந்தவர், அந்திரேயா. உடன் பிறந்தோரிடையில் இப்படி உன்னதமான எண்ணங்கள், உறவுகள் வளர்ந்தால், உலகத்தை மாற்றும் வரலாறுகள் தொடரும். நம் வாழ்வில், கடவுளுக்கு உன்னதமானதோர் இடத்தை வழங்கி, அவரிடம் நம் உறவுகளை அழைத்துச் செல்லும் வரத்தை, இன்று நாம் இறைவனிடம் வேண்டுவோம்.
